Nishino Takako, (2007). Beginning to read extensively: A case study with Mako and Fumi This study investigated about the beginning to read extensively with Mako and Fumi. This method of the study was a case study with longitudinal on reading strategies and motivation. Takako Nishino was using 2 of Japanese middle school students, their name were Fumi and Mako. The researcher conducted the research for the period of 2,5 year study with 4 times interviews, gave test regularly and observed the participant behavior in each reading session. In this study, the first time researcher said two motivations about the purposes of extensive reading: (a) to develop their English reading fluency and (b) to allow them to enjoy the natural pleasure of reading. Researcher also freed them to choose their own book, stop reading if you do not find an interesting book, and reading for pleasure but researcher suggest not looking for an unknown word through the dictionary and may ask him/her or cons
